2017 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 389

The very first Sun Odyssey 389 to become available second-hand in Australia! This example is a 2-cabin with additional saloon double, and has the conventional sail-plan with 125% overlap genoa and also has a symmetric spinnaker. With the GRP bow-sprit it is ready equipped to carry a furling Code 0 or furling Assy. It could also easily have a self-tacking jib.

This yacht was displayed at the Sydney Show in 2017 and has cruised from Melbourne to The Whitsundays and taken part in Hamilton Island Race Week, so fully optioned for East Coast cruising including life-raft and the appropriate safety options such as AIS, MOB device etc

The Sun Odyssey 379/389 is renowned for its handling a sailing ability. It is beautifully light on the helm, stable having a STIX of 35.83, and a quick passage maker. In fact they perform so well that many are club or twilight raced, and like this one has ventured North for the winter regattas in the sun.

Being a 2-cabin layout the saloon is spacious with seating opposite the dinette, and it has the deluxe saloon table allowing seating to dine from the port side, as well as the quick conversion kit to form an additional double when required.

The head features a separate toilet/shower stall, behind which is a huge stowage space which is also accessible from the cockpit. There is also abundant storage space throughout the saloon and galley, including a wet hanging locker aft of the nav’ table.

The owners cabin has a double that is 2.02m x 1.94m and a large hanging locker and two opening ports as well as a hull port with aircraft style blind, while the v-berth is 2.07m long by 1.85m at its widest and has two hanging lockers.

This is a very well optioned yacht that offers a huge saving on a new order. For further details please contact PBS today.
