The Beneteau First 34.7 with Carbon mast is an extremely stiff yacht with a STIX of 42, so is therefore much less crew dependent than many similar yachts, so much more suited to short-handed racing.
This 2007 example is fully optimised for club or offshore racing and had a major overhaul in 2018 including having the rig out and mast re-coated, rod rigging dye-tested, new rudder bearing, new vang support and new instrument wiring. The Raymarine instruments were fitted in 2019 including mast and cockpit displays, plotter, linear-drive autopilot and AIS. It was last slipped in July 2020, and is IRC rated at 0.995 and AMS TCF of 0.843.
The Hood sail inventory runs to nine, many 2018. The engine is a Yanmar 21hp diesel with approx' 1800 hours driving through a two blade folding prop' and was serviced in June 2020.
There are three large cockpit lockers and comfortable bench seats in the cockpit with a coaming. Down below there is the owners double cabin aft to starboard, an open double to port, L-shaped galley that was fitted with 12v refrigeration in 2018, and the saloon seats have lee-cloths and can be used as single beds. The nav' table is aft facing to starboard, whilst forward is the head with a storage space forward of that.
This yacht will give many years of sailing pleasure to a keen racing crew and equally to a family who enjoys a high performance sailboat.
