The award winning Sun Odyssey 319 at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

Don’t be fooled by the size of this new Jeanneau yacht, the award winning Sun Odyssey 319 has been recognised across the world by customers and journalists as one that sets a standard in the small yacht segment.

The first of these models into Australia was bought by an experienced sailor who actually stepped down from a large yacht such was the 319’s appeal. He named his yacht ‘Santai’ , translated from the Indonesian meaning relax, and at 6’4” tall he wanted a yacht that was spacious and set up in a way to be able to do that.

The Sun Odyssey 319 utilises a modern hull that incorporates a sharp chine to give stability, performance, and good control. The control is enhanced by a twin rudder design and standard wheel steering, and with a CE rating of Category A for unlimited ocean, you get piece of mind and excellent sailing.

The 319 is also offered with a number of sail plans to suit your style of sailing. Options include in-mast furling main, bowsprit for asymmetrical spinnakers and Code 0, and also symmetrical spinnaker gear. There is also a performance pack available with a tri-radial cut in Mylar/Taffeta, German mainsheet system, and an adjustable backstay. Two keel versions are available – a standard keel or a winged shoal swing keel version.

The interior benefits from the modern chine hull with an exceptional level of space and comfort usually found on a larger boat. Standing headroom throughout with bright natural light and views from large hull ports and long coachroof windows. Two cabins with generous room and a modular interior which can offer an additional two berths when needed.

Lots of storage and a large central table with fold up leaves makes the interior comfortable to move around at anchor or at sea with such things as integrated handrails, functional chart table, and a clear and accessible electrical panel that has room for optional equipment.

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 319 will be on display at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show from 23-26 May.
