It was another perfect day to be racing around Sydney Harbour on Wednesday this week with a 15 knot nor’easter giving fantastic conditions to again show off what this amazing 34 foot cruising yacht with upgraded sails can achieve when raced against known competition.
The afternoon race was the ever popular Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club event and the 349 was placed in Division A, acquitting herself extremely well against known racing yachts.
Her speed and height to windward and headsail reaching is truly amazing and where she sails comfortably with cruiser/ racers 6 feet bigger than her.
The twilight event was the CYCA race and “Team Jeanneau” was placed in their Division B. ‘We were exceptionally well placed after the 2 mile beat to windward in 12-14 knots but in the fading breeze down to 8 knots were out run by the lighter Race & Sports boats to finish mid fleet across the line & 5th on handicap.’
Remember the 349 has the added bonus of a fully fitted out cruising interior.
