Like it’s smaller sister the Sun Odyssey 409 introduced earlier this year, the new Sun Odyssey 439 has had every detail carefully considered to give the yacht more performance while remaining easier to sail. The high aspect rig is available with the standard 105% overlapping headsail, factory optional self-tacking headsail, or a racing 140% genoa depending on the intended use. This is a yacht designed by one of the Worlds most acclaimed naval architects Philippe Briand with exceptional stability and control, and like all his designs looks great from every angle.
From a sailing point of view a complete rethink of the cockpit ergonomics has resulted in a completely new deck layout with sail handling within easy reach of the helmsperson by leading the headsail and mainsail sheets back to primaries on both sides. For entertaining the centrepoint of the spacious cockpit is a large folding table, while access to the cockpit is via a fold-down swim platform therefore maximising cockpit space.
The new interior design is clean and attractive with plenty of contrast between the rich wood finish, light headliners and high-end upholstery. Exceptional visibility and light come from eight hull ports and eleven opening ports and flush hatches. The standard layout is a 3-cabin with twin heads each with separate showers.
The new Sun Odyssey 439 will be launched to the World at the Paris Show which takes place from the 4th to the 12th of December. For full details contact your local dealer.
