David Edmiston’s optimised Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 “Passion” won division 2 in Performance Cruising and with it the outright Port Stephen’s Trophy. Congratulations to David who has ‘passionately’ optimised his beloved SO37 and is a worthy winner. Interestingly Peter Lewis and the team on the more cruisey Sun Odyssey 37 “Lu Lu Belle” finished 5th and Murray Thompson on his 44 Deck-Saloon finished a creditable 7th.
Earlier in the week Greg Kowalski’s Sun Odyssey 39i “Bandelini” had a win in a race of the Commodore’s Cup and Peter Lewis finished 4th overall. Jeanneau set out to produce offshore cruising yachts that sail well, well enough to take part in fun events like Sail Port Stephens and pick up trophies!
