One of our favourite events of the year each year is the Sail Port Stephens regatta, as it is with many Jeanneau owners, so in recent years Jeanneau yachts have had their own results within the Commodore’s Cup part of the event. This year was a record fleet and also the biggest Jeanneau attendance with 14 yachts in total.
PBS hosted a free function for Jeanneau owners and their crew in the D’Albora building on the Tuesday night, during which that days race prizes were handed out and this was a very enjoyable evening.
The Jeanneau division results almost mirrored the division 3 results for the Commodore’s Cup except that “Savarna” slipped back to 4th on a count-back, so a big well done to everyone there.
For the fun of it we also had the first Sun Odyssey 440 there, and though this is very much a cruising yacht I’m sure everyone that saw it there was very impressed with how this yacht sails.
In the second segment of the week, the Port Stephens Trophy Jeanneau yachts featured as well with Glen Smiths’ Sun Fast 3200 collecting more silverware, as did Peter Byfords Sun Odyssey 469.
