This years Sail Port Stephens Commodore’s Cup was another record year with 101 yachts participating, of which 19 were Jeanneau’s, also a record. PBS sponsored a Jeanneau division within the event with prizes for each race, and overall Jeanneau results.
As we’ve done for some years now PBS hosted a party for all Jeanneau owners and their crew with food and drinks provided on the Tuesday night in the roof-top apartment at the D’Albora complex, which again was a very enjoyable night, though with over 100 attendees we are outgrowing this venue and will consider looking for a larger venue for next year.
Winner of the Jeanneau division for the Commodore’s Cup was “Toucan” Martin Mahoney’s Sun Charm 39 with consistently good results across the 3 races, despite the first race being sailed in very light fluky conditions, 2nd overall was Karl Nielson on the Sun Fast 3200 “Chaos Theory”, and third overall Mark & Carolanne’s magnificent Jeanneau 51 “Beyond Cool”. Congratulations to all of the participants and place-getters!
