A record fleet of 15 Jeanneau yachts turned out for the first of our three Jeanneau Cup events for this season, including an impressive seven Sun Odyssey 349’s!
Hosted by Middle Harbour Yacht Club the Jeanneau division sailed within the club fleet in this the Seven Islands Race, taking the yachts all the way down the harbour, under the bridge and down beyond Cockatoo Island and back.
Unfortunately the wind didn’t play ball and the majority of the fleet struggled to return under the harbour bridge in time to make it back within the time-limit, not helped by the departure of a very large cruise ship, but none-the-less a great days sailing was had and congratulations to the place getters, those newcomers, and the boats that travelled to be there:
1st – JOD 35 “Starstruck” – Scott Lawson
2nd – Sun Fast 37 “Macscap” – Peter McClelland
3rd – Sun Fast 40 “Zeusus” – Laurie McAllister
There were several very welcome newcomers to the Jeanneau Cup who we hope to see back for Race 2 on Saturday the 19th of January.

As always our thanks to the staff at MHYC for their continued support.
