New Jeanneau 54 creates a stir!

The new Jeanneau 54 announced last month has been creating quote a stir, not only internationally, but also here in Australia with several viewings booked at the major European Boat Shows this month. Jeanneau is the World leader in production yachts over 50 feet and this new design will undoubtedly add to that enviable reputation. On the back of the enormous success of the Jeanneau 64 launched last year the new 54 incorporates the same design philosophy using the same combination of the Philippe Briand design office and Andrew Winch styling and interior, who between them have a wealth of superyacht design experience. It shows in the detail of this design which incorporates some ingenious new ideas that really enhance the experience on-board.

The stern treatment is ingenious with retractable davits and a swim-platform come lounging ‘terrace’ that opens electrically. At the forward end of the generous cockpit are recessed lounge seats which offer security and comfort.

The rig is modern with short overlap headsails, self-tacking jib or self-tacking staysail and Code 0 off the wind sailing.

Down below Andrew Winch has created a modern stylish interior with a high level finish and a lot of variations that allow you to customise the interior for your use. There is also a very innovative layout option that features the galley aft in the starboard quarter which then creates even more living space in the saloon area. Quite ingenious.

It is remarkable that a yacht of this calibre is 25% less in cost than the first 54DS that we sold to a similar specification 11 years ago!
