2012 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 509

Escape and cruise Queensland this winter! With the restrictions on International travel here is an opportunity to have an adventure exploring what Australia has to offer by water, and in great comfort.

Complete ease of handling is the key to this cruising yacht. It incorporates a joystick controlled 360 docking system that make coming alongside or manoeuvring the yacht absolutely simple, while under sail the in-mast furling mainsail and self-tacking jib with electric primary winches makes life very easy. In fact, handling a yacht of this size could not be made any easier.

A large electric swim platform opens to a very roomy cockpit that is well protected and wide side decks which make it safe and comfortable to move forward to the large flat foredeck area which incorporates a sizeable climb-down locker.

In addition to the docking system joystick the cockpit has a 9” plotter, the autopilot controls, multi-instrument and anchor-winch remote, while the Bimini is fitted with twin solar panels. As well as solar there is a 6kva Onan Gen-Set so that power is never a problem.

Down below the dinette is to port with the substantial nav' station facing aft. To starboard are two lounge seats with a drinks table between them and aft is the T-shaped galley which has both a top and front-loading fridge as well as separate freezer and lots of counter space for preparing food and drinks.

The aft cabins are symmetric Queen sized with the day head to port, and then the owners cabin is forward with an island style bed with lockers both sides, and generous head with a dedicated shower space and screen.

This is a regularly used yacht that has simply been used to enjoy our local waters, but with a draft of only 1.73 metres it is ideal for exploring all the waterways of the East coast, or venturing further afield.

The chined hull and furling Code 0 offer a powerful boat that will eat up the miles, with both generous water and fuel capacity, and the Yanmar 75hp drives the yacht at up to 9 knots.

This is very much a turn-key yacht having been fully serviced and antifouled last September. Contact PBS to make an appointment now.
