Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349 continues to impress!

The team at Performance Boating Sales have been selling, sailing, and racing the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349 since it was launched at the 2014 Sydney International Boat Show. All of them are very experienced sailor with thousands of miles experience, cruising and racing at the highest levels. They have all been overwhelmingly impressed with the 349. Speed, agility, comfort, and price!

The new owners have all been similarly impressed and one of the recent ones delivered has been strutting her stuff on Pittwater and her proud owners had this to say yesterday:

“We sailed Pinta Bay in her debut race at Woody Point last night and she fairly flew!

There was a very blustery westerly with 20-25 knot bullets that sent almost every other boat in the fleet into round-ups and knock-downs but with a full cruising main and the standard jib we were able to keep tracking straight and keep an even keel throughout.

The handicapper was pretty kind to us starting us alongside a Bavaria 38 and a Diamond so the eight Etchells in the fleet were waiting another 5-9 minutes for their downwind start. But the only boat to overtake us was the $400k, 40’ carbon Ringle and after passing almost everyone ahead, we placed third (I think) in a very mixed fleet of about 50. The official results usually take several days…

Our crew was not exactly a team of rock stars (a group of friends. Ed). The real star was the 349 which took every gust as it came showing a clean wake to many similar sized boats whilst maintaining perfect control.

I’m now thinking of entering the Avalon SC Australia Day Regatta as well as keeping a regular Wednesday night appearance at Woody Point.”

Have a look at the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349, you know you want to…
