Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600 “Mister Lucky” wins its class in Sydney-Hobart:

Mark Hipgrave from Queensland with his son and a group of Sun Fast owners from the UK campaigned his Sun Fast 3600“Mister Lucky” in this years’ Sydney-Hobart to win ORCi class 4, and 4th in IRC class 4. Given that virtually the entire crew are single-handed and double-handed sailors, and the yacht is optimised for short-handed racing with only asymmetric spinnakers, it just shows how competitive these yachts are. This has been proven multiple times all over the World in the last few years.

In fact Mark came an incredible 3rd overall in last year’s OSTAR (single-handed transatlantic race) on this very same yacht, and in March he is one of four Sun Fast’s taking part in the Melbourne-Osaka race two-handed. Congratulations to Mark, his son Alex and the rest of the crew Nigel Colley, Rob Graigie, Deb Fish, Paul Brant, and Ian Hoddle.

Mark we wish you and the other yachts a safe and competitive race to Osaka!

And we must also congratulate PBS service manager Damien Goff who was on-board the Rogers 46 “Smuggler” for his 9th Sydney-Hobart, winning ORCi division 2, and finishing 6th overall on IRC. A great result!

PBS has a very special one-off offer available for a Sun Fast 3600, provided that we can have access to it for the Sydney Show. If this may be of interest please contact us on (02)9979 9755 or info@performanceboating.com.au
