Jeanneau & Hamilton Island Race Week 2019.

A contingent of twenty Jeanneau yachts took part in Hamilton Island Race Week covering models from the Sun Odyssey 35 to 419’s, several Deck-Saloon’s up to a Jeanneau 53. Congratulations go to two NSW owned yachts, Laurie McAllister who won Green division with his Sun Fast 40 “Zeusus”, and Mark Tobin who won Orange division on the SO44i “C’est La Vie”. It’s a big undertaking to take your yacht North for the regatta’s in the winter, but a popular undertaking reflected in the near record breaking numbers who participated this year. It’s an adventure in itself doing a winter delivery, and then making it North to cruise the final stretch and enjoy the exquisite islands enroute.

Congratulations also to PBS client Ben Spannenberg who ventured North for the first time on his new Sun Odyssey 419 “Shell” and came away with a very respectable 6th in division.

The current generation of Jeanneau designs lend themselves particularly well to this as they make fast safe passage makers that are less demanding than previous generations, and they were good! See the details here
