This years Jeanneau Owners event is shaping up as a “Pearler” with 16 yachts now entered for the week long event which shall kick off with a sail in company, meeting at Barrenjoey Headland bound for Nelson Bay, on the weekend of the 9th April.
The yachts are to be Berthed together on “C” Dock at the D’Albora Marina complex in Nelson Bay which shall be the centre of festivities for the Event, which includes the 3 day “Commodores Cup” Series where social non spinnaker racing shall be both around the Bay & outlying Islands located just off the Ports entrance.
Social activities are now finalised with a Jeanneau Cocktail party to be held at “Mavericks on the Bay”, daily prize giving’s & refreshments on the dock, final Presentation Evening, & culminating with the Inaugural “Jeanneau Long Lunch” to the Hunter Valley on the Thursday.
Whilst some more competitive owners shall stay on & compete in the more serious “Port Stephens Cup Event”, others are planning a trip to the beautiful Broughton Island located just 8 miles north off the Port for a possible overnight stay before returning via a stopover in the newly built Newcastle Harbour Marina, then back to their home ports.
