The current April/May Club Marine magazine has a full review of the Integrity 460 Grand sedan entitled “A Grand entrance”. The 460 Sedan is the first in a new series of Integrity Motor yachts based on feed-back from existing owners looking to upsize, and also for something with a bit more speed. The 460 (47.5ft) is a brand new luxury Australian designed motor yacht which is semi-custom and semi-displacement. With the new semi-displacement hull form the boats achieve six to seven knows more than the displacement hulls, whilst retaining much of the same engineering, but there is a natural progression with everything upgraded and a new external look.
One big change is the helm station which has a double bench seat and a massive galley and L-shaped dinette opening up via the trade-mark hopper door system, completely opening the interior out to the large 3m cockpit. As the reviewer comments “The cockpit and saloon become as one and present a huge entertaining area that says lets party”.
The standard accommodation is a 2-cabin single head layout, but an additional head can be incorporated to suit. The owner’s stateroom features a walk-around island berth and as reported “Makes excellent use of the available space”.
The article summarizes this new design well. “With its new semi-displacement hull, the 460 Grand Sedan is attracting a new wave of owners keen for the best blend of classic attributes with contemporary styling. This is a boat that lends itself to casual, unpretentious cruising, with all the necessary comforts.
The Grand Sedan, and the shortly to be released 490 Grand Sedan, will certainly suit the more senior owner, with everything pretty much on the same level and with ease of access to all areas, from the engine room and lazarette, to the accommodation and side decks.
