EXPLAINING THE CODE 0:

The new Code 0 option has become one of the most popular options ordered on Jeanneau yachts in the last year. A Code O sail is a crossover between an asymmetric spinnaker and a genoa that is loose luffed and is set forward of the genoa on a single-line furler using the spinnaker halyard. It can be carried reasonably close to the wind and through to broad reaching and complements the new generation yachts with their short-overlap headsails giving a significant boost to performance from close to broad reaching up to about 12-14 knots of wind. One of the great advantages of these sails is that they can so easily be furled and then left until you finished your passage or days sailing, then the sail cab be lowered into a normal sail bag for stowage. On the new Jeanneau’s that benefit from the increased stability of their chined-hulls they are particularly effective.
