This year’s trans-Atlantic rally for cruisers (ARC) saw 180 yachts leave the Canaries bound for with fifteen Jeanneau yachts in the fleet. This event now in its 29th year has become an institution and a must for those heading to the Caribbean from European shores. Starting from Las Palmas in the Canaries the fleet finishes at Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia in the Antilles. For the third year in a row Jeanneau was an official partner for this the largest trans-ocean event in the World, which follows the trade winds typically taking from 14 to 21 days to complete. There are regularly Australian entries having completed a season or more in the Mediterranean and heading for the Caribbean before passing through the Panama Canal for a Pacific passage to Australia. Last year PBS clients David and Dimity McMurtrie were participants on their Jeanneau 42 Deck-Saloon. For further details see this link .
