AST (Assisted Sail Trim) Wins the 2015 Boat Builder Award!

Jeanneau and Harken had the honour of receiving the 2015 Boat Builder Award in the category of “Boat Builder & Equipment Manufacturer Collaborative Solution.”

This award recognises the important work that Jeanneau and Harken have achieved together, from the conceptual phase, to improve a boat’s performance or on board services. The fruit of 3 years of collaboration between Jeanneau and Harken to re-imagine cruising and shorthand sailing, Assisted Sail Trim (AST) caught the eye of the judges. The system, consisting of three OEM packages, is designed to contribute to a relaxing day out on the water by offering sensor-guided, push-button sail handling control.

The prestigious new Boat Builder Awards for business achievement, organised jointly by IBI magazine and METS, are designed to recognise individual and team successes within boat building companies globally across six categories of business achievement.

Jeanneau and Harken are honoured by this distinction for their collaborative work. AST technology is exclusive to Jeanneau for 2016.
