Performance Boating proudly supported the 2025 Ladies of the Sea Regatta

Performance Boating was once again proud to sponsor the Ladies of the Sea (LOTS) Regatta, held over the weekend at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron. This was our fourth consecutive year supporting the event, which continues to grow in both scale and spirit. The sixth edition brought together an impressive 128 women sailors.

Founded by Karyn Gojnich, the regatta is driven by a passionate committee that includes long-time Performance Boating client and Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349 owner Amanda Hicks. Their goal is to create an event where women can learn from and inspire one another in a supportive and hands-on environment.

With twelve highly qualified coaches sharing their knowledge, participants had a rare opportunity to deepen their sailing skills through practical experience and personal mentorship.

As part of our sponsorship, Performance Boating had a Jeanneau Sun Fast 3300 on display at the dock. The winner of our special prize will enjoy a day aboard this exciting, modern racing yacht, to sail, race, or simply explore as they wish. We also contributed four $250 vouchers courtesy of our friends at BoatCrewGear.com.

The weekend began on Friday evening with the Squadron’s welcome drinks and briefing, where anticipation filled the room. Saturday started with yoga on the lawn before crews headed out for a morning of on-water training. After a short lunch afloat, a series of races allowed participants to put their new skills into practice. Sunday followed a similar rhythm, finishing with a debrief from the coaches and a celebratory prize-giving dinner.

Few sailing events in Australia capture the same energy, camaraderie, and enthusiasm that define the Ladies of the Sea Regatta. As one participant put it, “Wonderful, educational, supportive, empowering, and joyful.” That says it all.
