This years Rendezvous rally for Jeanneau NSW owners and friends takes place on Saturday the 10th of March. There will be an optional cruise in company for those yachts coming up from Sydney Harbour at noon on Friday and raft up at The Basin. On Saturday morning the morning briefing will be at the RMYC on Pittwater before heading off for either a cruise or race to where we will meet at Refuge Bay for a beach party and presentation. In attendance will be “Skippers Afloat” acting as a mother ship for food and drinks later in the afternoon at Refuge Bay. The Rendezvous events have always proved to be a lot of fun and we don’t expect this year to be any different.

If you’re a Jeanneau owner & haven’t already received an invite ring Sue on 9979 9755 or email sue@performanceboating.com.au

Long time Jeanneau owner John Stuckey recently took delivery of his Sun Odyssey 439 and while holidaying on the harbour decided that it might be fun to enter the Yacht Squadron twilight race. Much to his delight they won division 1! Although purchased as a ‘cruising’ yacht, like many Jeanneau owners in Sydney the temptation to take part in a twilight or corporate day is just too much and this is where the current Jeanneau range comes into its own. Despite having all of the creature comforts you can take a standard cruising version and sail at a very respectable level in any of the club twilights, such is the versatility of the sail plan on the current generation of designs.

A strong fleet of 15 One Design 38′s faced the starter for their National Championships this year held at RPAYC Pittwater. In a range of wind conditions from 7 to 18 knots the fleet competed in 9 hard fought races over the 3 days on the waters off Palm Beach. There were 5 different heat winners proving just how even these yachts are both in design & crew level, which under class rules is limited to amateur crew members with just one professional/ industry crew member.
Two crews from Melbourne made the commitment to compete, Lou Abrahams chartered the “Next Challenge” winning the regatta & “Audacious” from Royal Brighton brought there own yacht up to Sydney. The class is strong with fleets in Adelaide, Melbourne & Sydney, so if you are looking for a cost effective offshore competitive IRC racer (“Old School” won the IRC division of the Pittwater to Coffs series) then this is a class yacht you should consider.

PBS have two Sydney 38′s currently on our books, both priced to sell!
Please contact us for more information.

The first of two more Sun Fast 3200′s recently sold here arrives next week for an owner looking for an offshore yacht that isn’t too crew demanding, but stiff and exciting to sail with enough comfort to weekend on. The SF3200 certainly meets those requirements and has proven to be a remarkably versatile racing yacht that has the comfort of a typical 36 footer in terms of cockpit space and room down below. There are numerous reports and u-tube video’s highlighting the superb performance of this past ‘European Yacht of the Year’ and a starting price of only $143,650 for orders confirmed by the end of January don’t miss out on the exceptional value available!

The first of the new Jeanneau 44 Deck-Saloon’s has just arrived on the ship and will be commissioned over the next few weeks. The proud owner is a previous Jeanneau owner looking for a modern spacious yacht that sails well as in addition to family sailing some twilight racing is also on the cards. To offer both performance and ease of handling PBS are having a Leisurefurl boom furling system installed here.

The 44DS breaks new ground by combining the features of the highly successful ’9′ series Odyssey’s (both current European and Cruising World yacht of the year winners) with features that have made the Deck-Saloon’s so popular here in Australia and particularly in Sydney.

If you would like to be one of the first to view this new model please contact us to arrange an appointment.

With the current strength of the Oz dollar the base boat price, commissioned and delivered, is only $302,652. Full specifications on request at (02)9979 9755 or info@performanceboating.com.au
